Apple pushing retail experience to new level

Apple has had a knack for revolutionizing various industries. Just look at the way people buy music, play games and access the internet. Not to mention all the different ways businesses are using mobile devices for daily tasks. Now the company is taking aim at the retail market.

The company has already made an impact here through the use of mobile POS systems using iPads and iPhones, but a new technology system takes it to the next level. According to an article from Business Insider, Apple is rolling out iBeacon, which will be available on all devices using iOS 7.

Through Bluetooth technology, consumers will receive special offers when inside the store, as well as information that is specific to the part of the store they are standing in. On top of that, since millions of devices are able to run iOS 7, iBeacon helps these devices connect with each other, opening up a new form of payment.

All of this is an extreme example of how the in-store experience for customers is undergoing major changes. Organizations need to be aware of this if they want to be able to keep up with consumer demands. It does not need to be through iBeacon, however.

Businesses can start this through the use of an upgraded point of sale credit card processing system and software solution. With the help of a retail solution provider that specializes in POS software and security, any merchant can start improving every consumer transaction and start moving into a new era of business.
