Key Injection

Your device should come with all necessary keys injected.  In rare instances, you may need to initialize the key injection slots.

Injenico Key Injection Screen

IF YOU SEE KEY INJECTION SCREEN, like the one on the right , select 3 (No Key Injection).  If asked, Press 1 to Delete Key and then create a new Key Index. Eventually, you should see the message This Lane Is Closed

→If after pressing 3, the pin pad cycles back to the original KEY INJECTION screen with options 0-3, the pin pad is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Set Communication Method

This is an important part of the communication setup. There are two Communication Methods: CLIENT and SERVER.  This one is a bit confusing, as Ingenico defines the roles in reverse of the convention.

SERVER is used when Payment Terminal connects to the Cloud9 Payment Gateway with the help of the Payment Device Controller

  2. Press Green key( OK )

Skip Host Setup

This step is only necessary for CLIENT (NO PDC) mode.

  1. Communication->Ethernet Settings->HostIP Address->xx.xx.xx.xx
  2. Press Green key( OK )
  3. Configuration->Communication->Ethernet Settings->IP PORT->xxxxx
  4. Press Green key( OK )

Record Payment Device IP Address for PDC use

  1. Communication->Ethernet Settings->IP Port->xx.xx.xx.xx
  2. Record this IP Address. You will need it to setup your locally installed Payment Device Controller (PDC)
  3. Press Green key( OK )

Set SSL Mode

  1. Communication->Ethernet Settings->SSL->On
  2. Press Green key( OK )

Reboot and Refresh

This step will start an automated reboot and refresh process.

  1. Press RED(X-Cancel) key to return to previous menu
  2. Keep pressing RED(X-Cancel) until you see a prompt “Save and Reboot?”-> Choose Yes
  3. Press Green key( OK )
  4. Device will reboot
  5. Device will display “This lane closed”
  6. Wait until the device reboots by itself.
