Your device should come with all necessary keys injected.  In rare instances, you may need to initialize the key injection slots.

Injenico Key Injection Screen

IF YOU SEE KEY INJECTION SCREEN, like the one on the right , select 3 (No Key Injection).  If asked, Press 1 to Delete Key and then create a new Key Index. Eventually, you should see the message This Lane Is Closed

→If after pressing 3, the pin pad cycles back to the original KEY INJECTION screen with options 0-3, the pin pad is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Enter Configuration

Here are the steps to configure the Ingenico Tetra device:

  1. Press 2-6-3-4-F
  2. Enter TDA->Configuration

Set Communication Type

In this example we will be using Ethernet communications.

  1. Communication->Select Comm. Type->Ethernet->Press Green key( OK )

Set Communication Method

This is an important part of the communication setup. There are two Communication Methods: CLIENT and SERVER.  This one is a bit confusing, as Ingenico defines the roles in reverse of the convention.

CLIENT is used when the Payment Terminal connects to the Cloud9 Payment Gateway (C9PG) directly without the help of the local Payment Device Controller (PDC).

  1. Communication->Ethernet Settings->Connection Method->Client
  2. Press Green key( OK )

Cloud9 Payment Gateway Connection Setup

In this step we will setup the Cloud9 Payment Gateway (Host) IP and Port.
  1. Communication->Ethernet Settings->HostIP Address->18.221.55.47
  2. Press Green key( OK )
  3. Configuration->Communication->Ethernet Settings->IP PORT->12009
  4. Press Green key( OK )

Skip Payment Device IP Address Setup

  1. Communication->Ethernet Settings->IP Port->xx.xx.xx.xx
  2. Record this IP Address. You will need it to setup your locally installed Payment Device Controller (PDC)
  3. Press Green key( OK )

Set SSL Mode

For CLIENT mode (NO PDC) , we need to disable SSL, initially.   SSL will be automatically enabled by the Host Download and System Refresh, which will happen next.

  1. Communication->Ethernet Settings->SSL->None
  2. Press Green key( OK )

Reboot and Refresh

This step will start an automated reboot and refresh process.

  1. Press RED(X-Cancel) key to return to previous menu
  2. Keep pressing RED(X-Cancel) until you see a prompt “Save and Reboot?”-> Choose Yes
  3. Press Green key( OK )
  4. Device will reboot
  5.  Payment Device will reboot and connect to our Configuration Service.
  6. Payment Device will eventually display a menu with different configuration options.
  7. Choose Generic(Default).
  8.  The payment device will download the latest configuration, enable SSL and reboot
  9.  The payment device will then connect to our host on port 12002 for transaction processing.
  10. If connection is successful device will show “Connected” message for 2 seconds.
