Migration Paths
Migration Path | Design | Notes | Advantages | Disadvantages |
---|---|---|---|---|
Hybrid Pass-Through | POS → CreditLine DLL → CreditLine Server → Cloud9 Payment Gateway | CreditLine uses Cloud9 as just another processor. The client is setup on both the CreditLine and Cloud9 and ready for complete migration at a later time, if desired. | *No changes to installation, operational procedure or integration code. *No local storage of secure data. *All the minor processors, that may not be yet available on Cloud9 are also available, including all Gift Cards. |
Requires both the CreditLine Manager & CreditLine Server. |
Full Pass-Through | POS → CreditLine DLL → Cloud9 Payment Gateway | A compromise that achieves seemless integration with Cloud9 without the need to re-write the code. | *No changes to integration code. *No local storage of secure data. *No local software (1) |
Some features may not be yet available on Cloud9 (some gift cards, at the time of writing) |
Complete Integration | POS → Cloud9 Payment Gateway | POS uses modern JSON interface to connect directly to Cloud9 | *No changes to integration code. *No local storage of secure data. *No local software(1) *Multi-platform capability: Can integrate on any OS and environment, Linux, Max OS X, Web. |
Some features may not be yet available on Cloud9 (some gift cards, at the time of writing) |
- (1) Locally installed device driver [Payment Device Controller (PDC)] is required to operate the EMV compliant Payment Devices. The same device driver also allows Store&Forward capability.
